MASTER BATCHES

Masterbatch (MB) is an additive for plastic used for imparting other properties to plastics (additive masterbatch) or for colouring plastics (colour masterbatch). Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives encapsulated during a heat process into a carrier resin which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. These masterbatches are used to reduce consumption of expensive virgin polymers (filler masterbatches) without compromising on quality and performance, for adding colour (colour masterbatches) and/or imparting specific properties to the base polymer (additive and modifier masterbatches).
